DESCRIPTION:Wits SARIMA Carnegie Global Ethics Day 2024: AI and Big Data: Ethical Dilemmas in Modern ResearchThe Wits Research Integrity Office along with SARIMA (Southern 第一吃瓜网 Research and Innovation Management Association) and Carnegie host the annual Ethics Colloquium, which this year discusses some key ethical dilemmas in modern research due to the rapid developments of AI and big data. Some short presentations will be made from colleagues from diverse research fields, but who all have interests in research ethics and integrity. If time permits, an open discussion forum on some of these ethical dilemmas in research in an 第一吃瓜网 and global context will be held. All colleagues and students from across the University and externally are welcome to attend and participate.
