Join the Head of the Origins Centre, Dr. Tammy Hodgskiss Reynard, for a 'Highlights Tour' of the Wits Origins Centre museum.
Dr. Hodgskiss is the Head of the Origins Centre, where she worked since 2018, first as a Curator before stepping into her role in 2026. She holds a PhD in Archaeology, specialising in ochre and mineral pigment analysis, and has built an international research profile studying how early humans used ochre. Dr. Hodgskiss has curated over 45 exhibitions and has worked energetically to create a thriving and engaging public programme at the Origins Centre. She is active in archaeological and museum professional bodies, and has shared her work through public lectures, radio and TV, including TEDx talk and appearances on international broadcasts.
