Course Overview
This five-day course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the critical factors and challenges to consider to achieve excellence in Digital Government. The course is organised into three main themes:
- The contours of digital transformation: The social and economic benefits of digital technologies.
- Governance in the digital era: How digital technologies impact government operations, from administrative, sectoral, and public service perspectives.
- Digital government strategies: The governance, regulation, and ethical requirements for digital government.
The course combines knowledge sharing and skill development in the above areas.
This course is aimed at:
- Regulatory professionals and researchers
- Decision-makers and professionals active in policy and law-making, particularly those working in national and local government policy units and national and regional regulatory authorities
- Individuals engaged in legal drafting and parliamentary oversight
The course is also beneficial for professionals working in:
- Digital government
- Regulatory departments of consulting and digital service provider companies
- Lawyers, journalists, union officials, and non-governmental organisation (NGOs)
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Assess the implications of digital disruption for the governance of society and the economy.
