Former President Thabo Mbeki's speech at the AAD Conference

he 2021 Africa and µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø Diaspora Conference, under the theme ‘From Manchester 1945 to a Pan-µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø Renaissance’ will bring together a confluence of Pan-µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø initiatives across the world to congregate, exchange on and build a Pan-µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍøism for the future.
This conference will bring together global representatives from Africa and all regions of the world where people of µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø descent are found, including the Americas, Caribbean, Europe, Asia and Oceania—from both civil society and political institutions to revisit the ground-breaking decisions of the 1945 6th Pan-µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø Congress in Manchester and the 2001 World Conference against Racism.
President Mbeki was the keynote speaker the official opening of the conference.
