Top flight speakers confirmed for Green IT Innovation Dinner

The  has become well known among South Africa’s ICT professionals, entrepreneurs and senior business people as a great opportunity for networking and strategic planning. 

, together with key sponsors MTN Group, Nedbank Capital, HP and Adobe, is proud to announce the speakers for the 10th Bi-Monthly Innovation Dinner. This event will be held at the Michelangelo Hotel and Towers in Sandton on the 27th of October 2011.

Speakers at this month’s Innovation Dinner will focus onGreen IT- Trends In Efficient Technology, with specific emphasis on technologies and essential issues that enable companies to operate more efficiently, thereby creating a positive impact on both their businesses and the environment. Graham Vorster, HP Networking Country Manager for South Africa, will chair the event and the confirmed speakers for 27 October are Fritz Milosevic, Investment Banker Telecommunications, Media and Technology at Nedbank Capital, Jason Schäffler, CEO of Nano Energy, International guest speaker Ravi Chhatpar, Strategy Director at frog Shanghai and Kanagaratnam Lambotharan, the Chief Technology Officer MTN South Africa.

Kanagaratnam Lambotharan is the Chief Technology Officer MTN South Africa. Lambotharan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Cum Laude) from Wits University. He joined MTN SA in April 1999, in the Radio Planning department in Network Group. Lambotharan held senior positions at MTN Uganda and MTN Irancell before being appointed as CTO in December 2010.

Jason Schäffler holds a M. Sc. AppSc in Energy and Development from the University of Cape Town and an honours degree in Physics at Wits university. In 2003 he started Nano Energy, a consulting firm specialising in renewable energy information systems. He has driven the establishment of the South µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø voluntary REC market and certificate issuing body RECSA. He currently serves as the technical coordinator for REEEP’s Southern µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø secretariat and is a longstanding member of Council of the Sustainable Energy Society of Southern Africa.
